Scottish Region:

Scottish Region members have access to all activities and events organized by the JBA Owners Club. Nationally and Internationally as well as events organized by individuals.
For owners who have bought a JBA second hand, we will do our best to help you, so that you can enjoy your JBA to the full.
Come in and have a look round, your comments and suggestions and ideas will be most welcome.

Your Scottish Reps are Malcolm Jones covering the North.
Of all the photos I have taken over the years I have not got one of Malcolm so just used one of your Plus 2.
Dave Nelson covering the Central Region
Donald Collier covering the South.
Donald is also the Club's Treasurer.

Our History:

Years ago, there were very few JBA's in Scotland.

The Scottish rep. then was John Beattie, who was also technical editor for the JBA Owners Club.
Work commitments caused him to relinquish the post.
JBA Engineering Ltd. showed their JBA Falcons at the Scottish Kit Car Show firstly at Knockhill then at Ingliston Edinburgh year after year, with the result that Scottish people were buying their kits.
Also these Scottish builders were joining the JBA Owners Club

Dave Tennant a JBA Falcon owner and club member from Dalgety Bay, Fife was contacted by Alan Naughton, the chairman of the JBA Owners Club at that time and agreed to take over the position as Scottish Rep.
The first meeting of the Scottish Region was held at The Cedars Pub in Aberdour, Fife on December 5th.1993.

There were two completed cars at this meeting. John Skillen's Blue Falcon Sports, now owned by Alan Miller and Dave Tennant's White Falcon Plus 2 shown below.

The meeting was attended by 8 drivers and 5 family, six of them being new builders. The statistics in Scotland at that time were 4 JBA's on the road and 12 being built, this included 6 non-members.
The Scottish Section does not have a regular monthly meeting or venue, as the members are spread too far apart.
Instead we meet at shows and runs throughout the season in Scotland and at events in England and Wales arranged by the JBA Owners Club, or by individual members of the club.
With a scattered membership in Scotland a second Scottish rep. was appointed by the JBA Owners Club.
Donald Collier covers the southern part of Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway and Dave Tennant covering Central and Northern Regions.
As always members from other sections of the JBA Owners Club will be more than welcome to attend any Scottish events.

Derek Bintcliffe from Lancashire and his good lady Lynne have joined us on this run to Mossat Water Gardens.
Dave Tennant has continued in the post of Scottish rep. since 1993 and will continue to the end of the year 2000 season.
The last Scottish rep for Central and Northern regions is Robbie Gibson also from Fife and takes over the post after the Scottish Kit Car Show 24-09-2000.

Two New reps Dave Nelson and Malcolm Jones took over as Central and North regions from West Lothian and Angus at the end of the Scone Palace Show on the 10-09-2006.
