Stoneleigh Show
Was well attended this year with the Sun shining all day, one member recorded 37 JBA's on the Club stand.

Bill Willcock trading as JBA Motors had an impressive display with their new BMW chassis However it was designed and redeveloped by a well recognised company MK Engineering.

Now that Spring is here
With weather warming up, it is time to check over your JBA and polish your treasured possession.

Membership fees are now due for 2011. Fees still at discount price £12.00 till 1st April 2012.

Stoneleigh Show Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd May.

A.G.M. 
SUNDAY 1st May 2011
The A.G.M. of the JBA Owners Club will be held in the Conference Hall at the NAC. Stoneleigh. The large room upstairs, commencing at 1 pm (15:00) on Sunday 1st May 2010. Note the room is available for 55 minutes until (1:55) after which it is booked by another club so we will need to kick off promptly.
If anyone wants to nominate an individual for any Committee Member or Area Representative position would they please inform the Secretary in writing (e-mail is acceptable secretary@jbaoc.org.uk) at least two weeks week before the meeting i.e. 17th April 2011.
Note the Magazine always states one week before the meeting due to the timing of the print run and posting out to members.  Magazine out later this month.

We are now into the third month of the year and looking forward to  milder weather.

Around our areas, we have news of events from Chris Jowett our North east rep.

Further south we have a proposed  tour of Cornwall in May organised by our Chairman.

Please get in touch as soon as possible if interested, as it all has to be organised in time.

1st May – Ripon Spring Classic Car Show, Ripon Racecourse.
30th May -
Yorkshire Classic Car & Bike Car Show at Ripley Castle, nr Harrogate.
29th August -
Durham Classic Vehicle Show at Witton Castle, County Durham.
25th September - York Historic Vehicle Group.

 

South  West Tour

JBAOC Cornwall Tour June 2011 

I would like to organise a two day tour of Cornwall. The tour will take place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th June 2011. Included will be three nights accommodation for Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th June. 

Provisional Itinerary 

Friday 3rd June - Arrival day

Participants will make their way to the Premier Inn at Liskeard in Cornwall for about 5-6pm. This is located 20 miles into Cornwall on the A38. Following Check-in we will meet at the adjacent 'Table-Table' Bar and Restaurant for our evening meal and Tour briefing. 

Saturday 4th June - South Cornish Coast Run

Following breakfast we will depart at 9:30am and drive along the south Cornish coast stopping for coffee at about 10:30am, lunch at 12:30pm and afternoon tea at 3.30pm. Along the way we will visit Looe, Polperro, Fowey (crossing the Bodinick Ferry), St Austell, Pentewan, Mevagissey, Truro, Porthleven and then on to our overnight stay at the Premier Inn at Helston for about 5:30pm. This Premier Inn also has a 'Table-Table' Bar and Restaurant for our evening meal. 

Sunday 5th June - North Cornwall and Bodmin Moor Run

Following breakfast we will depart at about 9:30am and drive via Penzance to Sennen Cove around Lands End to our coffee stop in St Ives Bay. From there we will head to our lunch stop at Padstow and then onto our afternoon tea stop at Boscastle. From there we will make our way across Bodmin Moor to our final overnight stop at the Premier Inn, Bodmin just off the A30. This Premier Inn has a 'Table-Table' Bar and Restaurant for our evening meal.

Monday 6th June - Departure day  

Following breakfast participants make their way home. 

Provisional Cost 

The following provisional costs are based on One Car, Two people sharing one room and include Tour Guide and commemorative trophy. 

Tour including 3 nights accommodation room only        £230.00/car. 

Tour including 3 nights accommodation,

breakfast and 3 course evening meal                             £362.00/car. 

In order to make this tour worth while I will need at least 5 cars to take part. If anyone is interested they should let me know as soon as possible and no later than 4th May 2011. In order to book the rooms, full payment will be required by 4th May 2011. An alternative cost for 1 nights accommodation on Saturday 4th is available on request.
